Two Perth-based WAAPA students who share a love for soul music come together to perform timeless classics from Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Etta James, Aretha Franklin and more, in a stripped back, acoustic style performance.
Featuring the soulful vocals of Lauren Marsden, a 3rd year contemporary student known for her commanding dynamic vocal range inspired by the likes of Aretha Franklin, accompanied by Shyam Kana on acoustic guitar, a 2nd year Contemporary student know for his versatility of a mix of genres on both electric and acoustic guitar. Together, they reignite the magic of soul with their shared passion for live music.
