Erasers and Leaving join forces for 15th birthday and album launch celebrations

Perth duo Erasers are celebrating their 15th birthday with an afternoon show at North Fremantle Community Hall on Sunday, June 30.

It will be a joint celebration with local electronic artist Leaving, who is launching his second LP, Hidden View.

Also hitting the stage are special guests Ghost Gum Reverb, the experimental supergroup of Josten Myburgh, Djuna Lee, Jameson Feakes and Ben Stacy, and Tenforward, the dynamic duo of Lyndon Blue and Jess Hutchens.

Formed as a home record project in 2009, Erasers documented their early sounds on CD-Rs, tapes and 7″ releases before their first full-length album, Stem Together, came out in 2015. They followed up with Pulse Points and Forecast in 2019 and another duo of releases, Constant Connection and Distance, in 2022.

“Fifteen years on, we’re feeling pretty grateful and will probably have cake to celebrate our continued existence,” said the band upon announcing the show.

The show kicks off at 2pm with free tea, coffee and cake. Punters are encouraged to bring their own mug, along with a cushion and a blanket “for a meditative ceiling gaze together.”

Erasers’ 15th birthday celebration and Leaving’s Hidden View album launch go down at North Fremantle Community Hall on Sunday, June 30, 2024. For more info, head to the Facebook event page.
