Divinyls are set to reunite for a fashion and music extravaganza to celebrate the iconic Australian label Wheels & Dollbaby‘s 30th Anniversary. The event will close the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival on September 17.
Original members of Divinyls will be joined by Jack Moffitt and Isabella Manfredi of The Preatures for the one off special event.
Mark McEntee will perform guitar and vocals, Richard Harvey will play drums and Rick Grossman will be on bass. Meanwhile, Manfredi will be the first lead vocalist to perform with Divinyls since the late Chrissy Amphlett’s passing in 2013. With Jack and Isabella citing the Divinyls as one of their greatest influences, the night promises to be one to remember.
Manfredi said, “We would’ve moved heaven and earth to do this show. My job is to do Chrissy proud here, but also honour the life of the songs and the original lineup. It’s a moment in time.”
Over its 30 years, Wheels & Dollbaby’s has been associated with the sexy rock and roll style and for its world famous collaborations with musicians and celebrities. Music has always been at the heart of Melanie Greensmith‘s acclaimed label.
