Congrats to Banyon, winner of the Civic Band Comp Round 3.Formed in 2016 Banyon is a melodic death metal quartet from the south of Perth bringing their modern take on heavy music. The group is heavily influenced by bands such as Gojira, Opeth, Caliban, Misery Signals and Thy Art is Murder, but also bringing a sound of their own. Banyon prides themselves on playing heavy music without losing groove or melody. This year promises to be an important year for Banyon as they progress on their musical journey and are currently writing their first EP, and are set to make their mark on the metal community.
