Canadian alt-rock band Mother Mother announce Australian tour
Canadian alt-rock band Mother Mother have announced they will be returning to Australia in November. The tour kicks off in Adelaide, with stops in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney before wrapping up with a Perth show at Metro City on Monday, November 25.
“We are beyond thrilled to be returning to Australia again,” said Mother Mother vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Ryan Guldemond. “We adore our fans and the country in general. We’ve always been met with wide open arms and we can’t wait to create an epic night of indie rock and positive vibes. We truly can’t wait!”
The tour announcement follows the release of Mother Mother’s new single, Explode, which came out last month.
The track is the latest offering from their new album, Grief Chapter, which was released on Friday, February 16 via Warner Records. The album was introduced by lead single Normalize, which arrived alongside a video directed by acclaimed horror director Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters, What Keeps You Alive). It was then followed by the uplifting To My Heart and the future-facing The Matrix.
Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother have tallied a massive 6.9 billion global streams and 3.9 billion views across YouTube.
Mother Mother play Metro City on Monday, November 25, 2024. Tickets are on sale Monday, March 25 from livenation.com.au
