Applications open for State of Play’s 2025 season

The Arts and Culture Trust has opened applications for their State of Play 2025 season, as the award-winning Fringe World festival hub returns to the State Theatre Centre of WA from Friday, January 17 to Sunday, February 2, 2025.

State of Play’s producers say they are chasing adventurous, unique, and/or site-specific works that activate their spaces in new and unexpected ways, so whether you are passionate about theatre, music, dance, or making work for children, they are interested in hearing from you.

State of Play productions will take over six main spaces: Heath Ledger Theatre, Heath Ledger Foyer, Studio Underground, Rehearsal Room 1, The Courtyard, and, for the first time in 2025, The Middar Room.

Successful applicants will receive a free performance venue, 68% of the net Box Office income (minus low ticket booking fees), a skilled technical crew, a front-of-house team, marketing support, admin support, production support and more.

Applications are now open for the State of Play 2025 season, which takes over the State Theatre Centre of WA from Friday, January 17 to Sunday, February 2, 2025. For more information and to apply, head to artsculturetrust.wa.gov.au
