Southbound’s revamped Stagebound competition recently saw thousands of music lovers vote and so it is that the X-Press Magazine-endorsed entrants Apache have been declared the winners.
“We’re over the moon, hey,” vocalist, Timothy Gordon told X-Press this morning. “The fact that it was fan-voted really makes us feel validated and super warm inside. We’d just like to say thanks to everyone who voted, to the other bands in the comp because they are ridiculously killer/super bros and to Southbound in general for giving us this opportunity. Now all we have to do is not flip it up!”
Apache will open Southbound on the Lefty’s stage at 11am on Saturday, January 3, at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, Busselton. Southbound will then continue until the closing sets by Empire Of The Sun and Salt N Pepa finish at 11.50pm on Sunday, January 4.
