Acoustic folk and electro-pop come together for Freo climate fundraiser
Acoustic folk will collide with electro-pop for an eclectic musical experience at Freo.Social on Thursday, August 31, to raise funds for Climate Justice Union.
Headliners Grace Sanders (pictured above) x SCRATCHING’s eclectic influences of R&B, indie, electronic and pop are at the forefront of a new wave of moody, introspective sound in Australia.
Local singer-songwriter Cassie Skinner and other Perth artists, such as Sharmaine Tan, Mei-Lyn Woon and Maduvanthi Venkatesan, will also treat the audience to renditions of songs that explore climate change, community, love and justice.
The night will also feature a special appearance by 2022 WA Beatbox Champion, TEIKJIN.
All funds raised (after-cost) will support Climate Justice Union. The organisation collectively pools resources (people, effort, ideas, funds) to “create the future we want and need, while leaving nobody behind.”
Songs for Climate Justice goes down at Freo.Social on Thursday, August 31, 2023. For more info and to buy tickets, head to moshtix.com.au
