Side Splitter Comedy Festival returns for its ninth year

Side Splitter Comedy Festival is back for its ninth year, returning to Memorial Hall in Hamilton Hill over the two weekends of October 4-5 and October 11-12.

Presented by the City of Cockburn and produced by WA Comedy, the 2024 festival features 16 events, including a mix of comedy galas, showcases, variety acts and solo performances.

As seen on TV’s The Project, Utopia and Before the Game, Australian comedian Lehmo will open the festival on Friday, October 4.

Stand-up star Dilruk Jayasinha—known for his work on Utopia and Have You Been Paying Attention?—will perform on the following night, Saturday, October 5.

Rounding out the headliners is Luke Heggie on Saturday, October 12, who is celebrated for his dry, deadpan humour and appearances on Just for Laughs Stand-Up and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Opening Night Allstars Supershow.

In addition to the national headliners, the festival also includes several Gala shows, The Comedy Hour of Power, The Big Hoo-Haa, local favourites Suns of Fred and more.

Side Splitter also features a pop-up garden bar and food truck, which will be open from 6pm until 10pm each night.

Side Splitter Comedy Festival hits Hamilton Hill Memorial Hall on October 4-5 and 11-12. For more info and to buy tickets, head to sidesplitter.com.au
