Ambar favourites return for one-night-only reunion show

Iconic Perth nightclub Ambar is set to make a triumphant return with a one-night-only reunion show.

The reunion will take place on Friday, September 20 at Lucy’s Love Shack (Ambar’s old haunt at B/104 Murray St) and will feature a stellar lineup of Ambar favourites including Kid Kenobi, Micah, Philly Blunt, Pussymittens, Tone and Invoker—plus the ‘sneaky’ return of Break-Aholics Anonymous (BAA).

Kid Kenobi, the headline act for the night, is renowned for his pioneering role in the Australian breakbeat scene. Since his early beginnings behind the decks in 1996, Kid Kenobi was instrumental in making Ambar a cornerstone of Perth’s nightlife, with the club describing him as “one of the greatest breakbeat DJs our walls have ever known.”

Ambar Nightclub was one of Perth’s most popular late-night venues for almost 20 years before it closed down in July 2018. Many local and international electronic music stars made their way down the iconic Murray Street laneway since it opened in the early 2000s, with Perth acts ShockOne and drum and bass giants Pendulum going onto achieve international acclaim.

Ambar has announced a reunion show at Lucy’s Love Shack on Friday, September 20, 2024. Tickets are on sale Thursday, August 8 from megatix.com.au
