The Little Lord Street Band kick off 13-date album tour for second record Time and Place

Award-winning local country act The Little Lord Street Band will celebrate the release of their new album Time and Place with a launch show at Lyric’s Underground on Wednesday, April 24. They will be joined by special guests Codee Lee and The Foothills Trio.

Described as ‘Australian outback poetry meets country Americana’, Time and Place was released on Monday, April 22, featuring 11 tracks of melancholy melodies, intricate guitar, and raw and honest vocals.

“I guess it’s a ‘looking back’ album,” said singer and guitarist Jimmy Rogers. “It’s about when you get to that point in your life and you look back on what’s happened or what’s been going on. It’s that sort of longing for something that you can’t have back. It’s quite glass half empty, but at the same time, it’s about enjoying your memories.”

Rogers will join fellow vocalist and songwriter Natasha Shanks for a run of duo shows in Victoria at Grampians Grape Escape, Halls Gap, on Saturday, May 4; and Lomond Hotel, in Bruswick East, on Sunday, May 5; before returning to Western Australia for a show at Vinyl Café, Leederville, on Saturday, May 25.

Rogers and Shanks will then be joined by the full band, including Michael Savage, Alex Megaw, and Jon Fernandes, for a run of WA shows at Bencubbin Offroad Racing, Bencubbin, on Saturday, June 1; Honky Tonk Blues, Fremantle, on Sunday, June 2; Southerly’s, Dongara, on Friday, June 7; and Finlay’s, Kalbarri, on Sunday, June 9 (duo).

The full band will then perform a run of Red Country Festival shows in Newman on Friday, June 14; Port Hedland on Saturday, June 15; and Karratha on Sunday, June 16.

The Little Lord Street Band are the three-time winners of the Best Country Act at the WAM awards, all consecutively, have stayed on the Amrap charts for weeks, have been showcased at BIGSOUND in 2018, and have drawn praise from the likes of ABC Country, Double J, Pilerats, Scenestr, The Music, and many more over the years.

The Little Lord Street Band’s second album Time and Place is out now. The Little Lord Street Band play Lyric’s Underground on Wednesday, April 24 before a run of dates in Victoria, Perth and regional Western Australia. For more info and to buy tickets, head to thelittlelordstreetband.com
