Punk rock mini-fest Reefyland to hit underground inner city venue

Punk rock mini-fest Reefyland is set to take over Old Habits Bar in West Perth for a night of music, art and more on Saturday, October 21.

The event will be headlined by local trio REEFEATER (pictured above), who are known for their punk-rock anthems, high energy theatrics and banter. They will be joined on the night by punk three-piece Grunge Barbie, Margaret River surf-punk outfit Bottle and pop-punk prodigies Rosalie Chilvers.

There’s also set to be a ‘mind-bending’ art displays by Vortex ov Vision, Doris Swart, Zar Tanso, Mick Finn, and mandala by Christene.

The venue will also feature a chill out space with bean bags, and visual projections, with the night finishing off with dance music and balloons.

Attendees who purchase a pre-sale ticket will go in the running to win a Reefeater merch pack including a T-shirt and CD.

“The idea behind Reefyland 2023 is to support the local arts,” said event organiser Pierre Gildenhuys. “With venues closing down, and artists finding it tougher than ever to sustain, we thought it would be a good time to create something new – an event with both live music and an art display, so they audience can experience a wide range of what Perth has to offer.”

“This event is expected to grow, and we are hoping to create a re-occurring punk festival in WA.”
