LANEWAY FESTIVAL 2023 Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM and more

After two years of COVID setbacks, Laneway Festival will return to Western Australia this summer.

Last week it was announced the festival would be moving from its previous location in Esplanade Park in Fremantle, to a new home of Wellington Square near Perth’s CBD.

Today the line-up has dropped, and it’s one to get excited about.

Californian sisters HAIM (pictured above) lead the bill on their first trip Down Under since 2017. It comes after a massive couple of years for the trio, who built on already incredible body of work with their brilliant 2020 album Women in Music Part III.

Joining them is 2020 X-Press Album of the Year winner Phoebe Bridgers, who will play her first live shows in Australia since 2019.

Those are just a few of the international acts heading our way. Joining them are Irish rockers Fontaines D.C., Baltimore hard-core act Turnstile, party starters Ross From Friends, Fred Again and Logic 1000, UK rapper slowthai, pop duo 100 Gecs, Finneas, Yard Act and The Beths.

As usual, there’s a stacked contingent of Aussie acts too, including Mallrat, psych-rockers The Lazy Eyes, Harvey SutherlandJacoténe, Sycco and Tasman Keith.
