Ahead of the release of their second studio album On The Wall In The Morning Light, out Friday, July 8, Great Gable have announced a national album tour. Kicking off in Adelaide, the Perth four-piece will travel to Hobart, Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, Coffs Harbour, Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Brisbane, Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast before wrapping it up with a home town show at Astor Theatre on Friday, November 11. They will be joined by special guests DICE and Velvet Bloom.
On The Wall In The Morning Light features new single Dancing Shoes, which Great Gable performed earlier this month on triple j’s like a version, alongside their cover of Owl City’s Fireflies; and recent singles Hazy, Another Day and Our Love.
The band – comprising Alex Whiteman (vocals), Matt Preen (guitar), Callum Guy (drums) and Christopher Bye (bass) – worked separately during lockdown and together in between, before recording their second album at Matt Corby’s newly minted Rainbow Valley Studios.
Great Gable have supported the likes of Ocean Alley, The Jungle Giants, Thelma Plum and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and performed festival sets at Groovin The Moo, Falls Festival, SOTA Fest and Wave Rock Weekender amongst numerous sold-out tours.
