Local act BOY GIRL are set to launch their new single Twitchin’ In Your Sleep at Badlands Bar on Saturday, April 3, with support from Giant Dwarf, Will Stoker & the Embers, Scatterback and Sixth Avenue.
Formed by Perth songwriter Luke Irvine (vocals/guitar) and initially inspired by the likes of Radiohead, At The Drive-In and Queens of the Stone Age, BOY GIRL’s line up has expanded to become a multicultural melting pot of local and international talent. This includes Bangladeshi heavy rock royalty Nads Walid (Mechanix) on bass, UK import Chantal Inskip (Smoking Kills) on vocals and keys, and hard hitting Aaron “Muscles” Muller on drums.
BOY GIRL draw from the bass-heavy riffs of Royal Blood, the sonic ambition of Smashing Pumpkins and the male and female vocal interplay of Wolf Alice. The four-piece say they have taken their time ensuring they captured the energy of their frenetic live shows on the new single.
