Michael Shafar is set to bring his comedy show Kosher Bacon to Perth for Fringe World Festival in 2018, across various dates between Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, February 4 at The Palace Society at Globe Palace.

Best known as a writer on The Project, Michael Shafar has hosted WTV’s The Leak and is the creator of satirical webpage and web series Round Squares. He also had a sold out season of his debut show Jewish-ish at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

As seen on SBS’s RAW Comedy, WTV’s The Leak and The Laugh Factory’s Funniest Person in the World Competition and as heard on ABC’s Comedy Bites and Triples J’s Good Az FridayKosher Bacon is a show about contradictions like ’round squares’, ‘hot ice’ or ‘delicious tofu’. In our interview with Michael Shafar he gave us his take on hypocrisy in Australia’s mainstream media, why politics is getting harder to satirise and Bob Katter’s impressive ability to make anything about crocodiles, which you can read here.
