Well, what a weekend that was! The 2013 WAM Festival was easily the best in recent memory, with the Saturday Spectacular capping an awesome four days of music. Friday saw Perth’s music industry congregate at The Astor theatre – who took home the Music Venue Of the Year gong, aptly enough – for the WA Music Awards. Tame Impala scooped up the most awards, with nods for Single, Album, Group and Music Video Of The Year, while Abbe May received Solo Artist Of The Year like we knew she would. Here’s the full list!
Saturday saw over 100 acts crowd into Northbridge for the WAM Saturday Spectacular, a noon ’til midnight free festival that drew massive crowds who all went home with ringing ears and wide grins.
