Perth Oz rockers Sly Withers are the latest good news story out of WA, having announced their signing to record label Dew Process as well as booking agency Select Music. To mark the occasion, they’ve released their latest single Sad Guy which was premiered on triple j’s Good Nights.

Plus they’ve announced a tour around the country to celebrate the single, kicking off with a hometown show at the Indi Bar in Scarborough on Saturday, May 25 before they head off.

Speaking about their signing to Dew Process, co-frontman Sam Blitvich says, “We’re beyond stoked to be jumping on board with Dew Process and joining a roster of acts we love and admire, like Tired Lion, Waax and The Beths. We’ve been granted an amazing opportunity and are excited to see where the journey takes us.”

Speaking about the new single, Jono Mata says, “The song deals with the role I played in a break up, the subsequent personal growth I underwent and the realisation that the world is a lot bigger than Perth. It all came to me in a cafe in Laos, recovering from a motorbike crash that I felt lucky to walk away from.”

Sad Guy is out now. Sly Withers play the Indian Ocean Hotel on Saturday, May 25. Tickets on sale now.
