RVG Cancel WA dates due to illness

Melbourne post-punk act RVG have cancelled much of their Australian tour due to illness, including scheduled dates this weekend at Mojo’s on Friday, November 22 and The Bird on Saturday, November 23. On a Facebook post this morning, the group apologised to everyone who bought tickets and the bands they were planning to play with. They have stated they will “most likely” be back early next year.

Fans will be disappointed to miss out on seeing RVG headline their own shows after they put on an amazing performance in support of Kurt Vile at The Rosemount Car Park in April. We described them at the time as “a soul-crushing slice of Joy Division-esque grandeur,” and “cynicism embodied in a heavenly rocking package” in a glowing 8.5/10 review.
