With the dust still settling from their last album, Mt. Mountain have come out swinging with new single Cathedral, to be released on an upcoming album, Golden Rise (release date TBC).
Not many surprises here, the track is pure Mt. Mountain, dripping with that desert vision quest sound, but maybe a bit more energetic and electric than we’re used to.
Dense, swirling and psychedelic, with a driving rhythm, the guitar twangs around your brain. The vocals seem to float around, even as the track gradually gets heavier.
Good stuff from one of Perth’s best bands, harkening back to their sound prior to Dust, but also looking forward, beyond all previous releases.
