MOJOS Help save Mojos Bar

Mojos Bar
is closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The beloved Fremantle bar has been a space to share live original music for close to 50 years. Calling for funding help from the local community, a GoFundMe page has been set up.

Being such an intimate and unique venue it is safest for the visitors, the musos, their staff and all others who call Mojos Bar home to close for the time being. They usually pay the bills by running epic gigs but due to recent social distancing standards, this is no longer an option. Having closed last year to invest heavily in soundproofing, Mojos is not in a position to weather this storm.

Through sheer desperation Mojos has opened a GoFundMe page to provide funds to pay overheads and other costs, to ensure the bar can then be in a position to reopen when it is safe to do so. They have set the target at a bare minimum requirement of $60K, factoring in the assistance from the Federal and State Governments. All contributions over $75 from those in Australia will earn a one-off pressing “I helped save Mojo’s” t-shirt.

Mojos has always been a safe space for all in the community and they are now asking for help from those that hold the bar close to their hearts. With the acknowledgement that every venue is being affected and countless people need help, they stress the fact that Mojos is worth fighting for.

The fantastic response so far indicates that the public agrees.
