It’s been a tough run for the Perth music industry, with a seemingless endless string of venue closures hitting us right where we live. But new hope has dawned in the unlikely form of Fast Eddy’s Morley.
Yes, the venerable 24 hour restaurant franchise is stepping up, promising not just hamburgers and milkshakes at all hours and states of inebriation, but a new stage for Perth bands to ply their trade.
In a statement on their Facebook page, Fast Eddy’s management said:
“PERTH’S NEXT LIVE MUSIC VENUE?… HELP US MAKE IT HAPPEN!
We’ve been kicking around an idea to convert our much loved, but under used, drive-through Garage space into a new live performance venue and bar.
Carrying a retro garage theme, 100 person capacity, stage, dance floor and plush seating, our classic Fast Eddy’s menu would be available, as well as a full bar.
And now to you, our faithful followers.
Is this something you would be interested in? Are you an artist, event organiser, or group that would potentially utilise this space? How often would you use it? And what specific requirements would you need to make it work for you?
