In the sort of double bill usually reserved for wineries, the Hoodoo Gurus (above) and You Am I are combining their considerable talents for the best double bill this side of Radio Birdman and Died Pretty. Taking the monster shows to theatres around Australia, they’ve already announced two shows for Perth on Friday August 4 and Saturday August 5 at the Astor Theatre.
The legendary Australian bands have been sharing stages for the last 25 years from New York to Nambucca Heads and are joining up to do it again, taking their iconic brand of rock and roll to Perth, Canberra, and regional areas around Australia in July and August.
The Gurus and You Am I boast nineteen acclaimed studio albums between them, most of which reached the upper echelons of the charts and went gold or platinum.
Both bands love their rock and roll and there’s not many around who are any better at it. So, getting these old mates in the tour van for some gigs around the country seems like one hell of a good idea, with all the makings for a night to remember!
