FASHION COUNCIL WA Swim & Resort Series @ The Shorehouse

Fashion Council of WA’s Swim and Resort Series launch @ The Shorehouse
Tuesday, October 31, 2017

The Fashion Council of WA’s Swim and Resort Series launch took place at Swanbourne’s picturesque setting of The Shorehouse last Tuesday morning.

The beachside backdrop perfectly complemented the event’s reveal of the upcoming season that will be held in a variety of venues throughout Perth, including the Point Fraser Boardwalk and City Beach Surf Lifesaving club from November 25-26. There will also be a free event held on November 23 in Claremont Quarter.

These events will serve as not only a celebration of our designer talent but also our beautiful surroundings here in Perth.

This year’s series is fronted by young model Lucy Baddeley who has effortlessly taken on the role of showcasing some of the most talented local and national Australian designers.

Donning designs from the upcoming collections of Manning Cartell, Amore and Sorvete, Camilla and Sei Bella Aqua Wear, she is able to give justice to the eclectic array of styles we have available at our fingertips here in Western Australia.

Speaking to the designer of iconic Australian swimwear brand Amore and Sorvete, Bridgette Gale, this year will see the brand branch out to a include a more diverse range of cuts to fit all bodies. Their collection COCO LOCO will include vibrant colours and bold prints whilst staying true to their quintessential feminine style.

This exciting insight into upcoming collections that not only Ms. Gale but also the stunning set up of the launch was able to provide, only fuels any desire to see more at the approaching runway show events.

Tourism minister Paul Papalia has said the event provided a great backdrop to show off Perth’s natural attractions.

“Perth is renowned for its spectacular coastline and magnificent Swan River and this event will help us to showcase to our neighbouring audiences, particularly in the Asia Pacific region,” he said.

It is clear there is a common thread among this year’s events and campaigns, this being the celebration of Western Australia as a key location for swim and resort wear, something synonymous with our carefree lifestyle.

With The Shorehouse supplying a charming selection of summer beverages and appetizers, overall the launch was able to provide a beautiful and intimate preview of the exciting developments in Western Australian Swim and Resort Fashion.
