DRIP WORLD Hip hop festival postponed due to visa delays

Aussie hip-hop festival Drip World has officially pushed back their debut to January 2020, citing issues with artist visas.

Promising to be Australia’s “biggest urban festival”, the show’s lineup was set to include Akon, Lil Baby and Rich the Kid; with the trio Migos announced as the festival’s headliner. The Perth date was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 8 at Gloucester Park , however the dates across the country have now been moved to run from  Saturday, January 4 to Sunday, January 12.

The team at Drip World cited visa issues as the reason for the postponement, stating “we are still waiting on a couple visas for some of our headliners. It’s been tough to make this call to move to summer, but we had to.”

They have also claimed they don’t expect any changes to the line-up, claiming they “have no doubts that everyone on our line-up will be granted a visa into Australia.”

Tickets already purchased are still valid and can be used on the new dates, and refunds will be available after Monday, September 2.
