Waxahatchee announces Tigers Blood Australian tour

American indie artist Waxahatchee is set to make her return to Australia this year for the first time since 2018. The national tour kicks off at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Friday, November 29, before hitting Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Meredith and Hobart.

Singer-songwriter Kate Crutchfield, who hails from Alabama and grew up near Waxahatchee Creek, has won fans across the world since forming the solo project Waxahatchee back in 2010. The upcoming tour follows the release of her 2024 alt-country album Tigers Blood, the follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2020 album Saint Cloud.

“I never imagined the journey would lead me here, but after six critically acclaimed albums, I’ve never felt more confident as an artist,” Crutchfield said, reflecting on her career to date.

This will be the first time Crutchfield has returned to Australia since 2018, when she toured the east coast alongside her partner Kevin Morby.

Waxahatchee hits Astor Theatre on Friday, November 29, 2024. For more info and to buy tickets, head to handsometours.com
