Fancy using your music to change someone’s life for the better? What if we told you there was potentially $50,000 in it for you too? In a nutshell, that’s what the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition is all about. This unique charity fundraising songwriting competition is the largest of its kind in the world. It supports songwriters with fantastic prizes and uses the power of music to help people with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Rett Syndrome and Angelman Syndrome and disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Dyspraxia and Spina Bifida. All you have to do is submit your song and a $50 entry fee (all of which goes to charity). This year’s judging panel includes Adalita, Kevin Mitchell, Kav Temperley and many more, and with previous winners of the competition including Kimbra and Megan Washington you know you’re in good company. Entries close on June 21. Hit up vandayoungsongcomp.com for full entry deets.
