From their debut\, Roads to Judah\, to the genre-defining breakthrough\, Sunbather\, and subsequent records like New Bermuda\, Ordinary Corrupt Human Love\, and Infinite Granite\, Deafheaven have continually redefined the boundaries of heavy music while confronting themes of alienation\, addiction\, family history\, and self-perseverance. \nThe tour follows the release of their 2025 album Lonely People With Power. Their sixth album and first for Roadrunner Records arrived as both a culmination and a reckoning – an album that embraces the band’s full identity after years of evolution. Produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck’s go-to bassist and producer of Infinite Granite)\, the record captures Deafheaven’s innate ability to mix and merge melody with brutality\, and pain with poetry.Through reflections on masculinity\, inherited trauma\, family\, and self-perception\, the album grapples with the idea that while we can’t fully escape our past or our nature\, we can choose how we move forward. Ultimately\, Lonely People with Power stands as one of Deafheaven’s most expansive and human statements – an album about confronting isolation while searching for connection\, growth\, and the possibility of redefining one’s destiny. \nThe album\, which was praised by the likes of Pitchfork\, Rolling Stone\, The Line Of Best Fit\, Kerrang and more\, also features Interpol’s Paul Banks and Boy Harsher’s Jae Matthews. \nRevered for their transcendental live shows\, Deafheaven have toured the world over performing at festivals such as Coachella and Primavera Sound\, while sharing stages with everyone from Slipknot and Knocked Loose to Chelsea Wolfe and Mono. DESCRIPTION:New York – No Wave Queen\, Lydia Lunch – returns to Australia to perform the songs of synth – punk band\, Suicide and Alan Vega.  \nLydia will be joined on stage by Andrew Coates of much loved Melbourne electro trio\, Black Cab to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Alan Vega’s passing + special guests. \nLunch originally met Suicide – the duo of late vocalist Alan Vega and multi-instrumentalist Martin Rev – in the 1970s\, when Lunch moved to New York City from Rochester as a teenager. She formed a lifelong bond with the pair\, often joining them on-stage to perform the song ‘Frankie Teardrop’ and recording a duet as part of Vega’s solo album Sniper. Since Vega’s passing in 2016\, Lunch has performed several Suicide tribute shows\, most often with Marc Hurtado. \nHaving previously never performed the show in Australia\, Lydia surprised fans on a night off in Melbourne during her 2024 Spoken Word tour with an impromptu appearance at the Tote. It sold out in 3 days so she decided to bring it back for Vega’s anniversary in 2026.Passionate\, sexual\, confrontational and bold\, Lunch\, Vega and Rev are all cut from the same grimy cloth of 1970s New York. This show is more than a tribute. It’s an offering.

DESCRIPTION:RTRFM’S FREMANTLE WINTER MUSIC FESTIVAL BRINGS WARMTH TO WALYALUP THIS JUNE \nRTRFM is set for its annual takeover of North Freo on Saturday 20 June 2026\, with the station’s Fremantle Winter Music Festival set to bring some warmth to Walyalup. \nThe Fremantle Winter Music Festival features 29 acts across five stages at Port Beach Brewery\, the Swan Lounge\, 201 Below and Mojos on Saturday 20 June from 7pm till late. \nAt the Swan Lounge\, catch an eclectic mix of genres to get you dancing\, including Anika Louise\, Autumn Sage\, Bella Rae\, Jack Carroll Band and The Pointy Heads.  \nAnd in the newly renovated 201 Below (Swan Basement) join the wildness that is Club Silly with Agapantha b2b DJ Sweetpea and Lani b2b Nathaara. Expect queerness\, silliness and fun in the basement.  \nHead to the two stages of the now winter-proof Port Beach Brewery for the sounds of the legendary Datura 4\, Doctopus\, Oosterbanger and Skortz inside.  \nAnd on the outside stage catch BD Minerals\, Bribes\, Friends of the Family and Streetlights.  \nOver at Mojos we go indie with sets from The Drowners\, Flora Road\, Gloss\, Harmony Romsloe\, Karianne and Maple. Plus in the Courtyard catch DJ sets from our fresh faced Out To Lunch crew\, Lachy & Conor\, Arielle and Kayli & Hannah from 5pm.
