The music flows with ease and a confidence that draws you into his whimsical world of folk/blues and roots themed lyrics along with Matt’s excellent guitar playing. \nBorn from an invitation to record at Sundown Studios\, O’Connor Matt worked with the very talented Lukas Drinkwater (UK) on Upright Bass\, Harmonies and production and mixed and mastered with Perth Prodigy Christian Peterson (Blink 182\, Tame Impala). The result is a sublime collection of WA roots music. \nMatt describes music as like breathing\, something he has always known yet remains a mystery. At 46 he has been writing songs for the better part of 30 years with little else grabbing his attention over the years. Our only rule we made was to stick to the coast road at all times. \nIt was a great adventure and when we hit the Great Ocean Road in the middle of spring it was a visual sensation of green and blue. Over the 2 week trip I got to know my son as a person rather than the guy at home keeping him in line and in hindsight it was a pretty big revelation.  \nThe song is a joy.
