SUMMARY:Lowdown + Empire Blues
DESCRIPTION:Lowdown | 7.30pm++++++++++++Get ready for an unforgettable night of soulful rhythms and electrifying melodies as we present a brand-new blues band\, blending the best of Chicago and West Coast swing blues with a touch of Memphis soul. Featuring seasoned musicians from Perth’s vibrant blues scene\, this dynamic 5-piece ensemble promises to deliver a one-of-a-kind musical experience that will leave you craving more.Lowdown are: Adam Norton on harmonica and vocals\, Laurence Petre Allen on guitar and vocals\, Troy Shirlaw on drums and Hank Deberitz on bass and vocals. \nEmpire Blues | 9.00pm+++++++++++++++Empire Blues started as a casual conversation between two acquaintances\, Andrew McIlroy (Vice President PBC) and Alan Dawson in 2005. They had known each other since the early 80’s but besides a few fill in gigs had never formally played together. The idea was to create a British influenced blues band as all the local blues outfits were concentrating on American artists. A three piece was the easiest option and Gavin Kerr was added on drums but soon after Gavin’s work commitments resulted in Frank Shinall joining the band. Both Andrew and Alan had known Frank separately since the 70’s. Now 20+ years on the three friends have done more than 700 shows together and produced three albums of original material. They are one of Perth’s most consistent working bands. \n+++++++++++++DOORS OPEN 7PMENTRY: $15.00 (General Admission) | $10.00 (Members)

SUMMARY:CORNERSTONES
DESCRIPTION:DIRECTED AND PERFORMED BY DARLINGTON STRING QUARTET \nThe Darlington Quartet returns to the heartland of the quartet repertoire with masterworks by Beethoven and Brahms. The opus 18 quartets show the young Beethoven already beginning to redefine the string quartet\, something he would continue to do throughout his life. The String Quartet No. 1 in F major\, with its vigorous yet elegant opening movement\, heartfelt Adagio (inspired by the tomb scene in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet) and playful finale\, is no exception. Johannes Brahms\, notoriously self-critical\, reportedly destroyed 20 string quartets before allowing his opus 51 quartets to be published. The String Quartet No. 1 in C minor is quintessential Brahms – passionate and profound\, uniting heart and intellect. \nBookings open Friends 23 Jun Public 30 Jun

SUMMARY:The Velvet Club - Rosemount Hotel\, Perth
DESCRIPTION:Naarm’s indie rock favourities\,The Velvet Club are hitting the road this August for their 4 date Australian tour\, in support of their debut album ‘Are You Falling In Love?’. The tour takes the band across the county with shows in Sydney\, Brisbane and Perth before finishing in for a home town show in Melbourne. \nAre You Falling In Love? is the bands debut album\, and features fan favourites ‘We Don’t Talk’\, ‘Blue’ and ‘Anything’.Throughout the record’s 10 tracks\, The Velvet Club navigate mental health struggles\, relationship breakdowns\, friendship\, and solitude\, fuelled by jangly guitars and hooks that move from bright to melancholic and back again. The Velvet Club’s return to the hazy immediacy and raw\, unpolished charm of 2000s indie is what makes this album so familiar\, yet refreshing. \nThe Australian tour will bring the bands iconic\, raw and energetic live performance that fans have come to know and love\, and promises a mix of new album tracks alongside previous fan favourites.

SUMMARY:Psycroptic & Rivers of Nihil (US) | Perth | The Pulse Of Annihilation | Magnet House
DESCRIPTION:Destroy All Lines & Direct Merch Presents \nPSYCROPTIC + RIVERS OF NIHIL The Pule of Annihilation 2026 \nwith Growth & Slaughtercult \nThursday 13 August Magnet House\, PerthDoors 7pm \n𝐓𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬: ➟ https://daltours.cc/PSYRON-pert \nThis August\, Tasmania’s finest export\, extreme metal pioneers\, Psycroptic join like-minded-and-saxophone-wielding US progressive death wizards Rivers of Nihil for a co-headline tour that brings together two elite bands operating at the highest tier of modern death metal. \nFor Psycroptic\, the timing couldn’t be stronger. Off the back of relentless global touring alongside the likes of Dying Fetus\, Ne Obliviscaris and Six Feet Under\, the recently released singles\, Architecture of Extinction and Falling\, plus their ninth studio album set for a mid year release via Metal Blade Records\, the band continue to prove why they remain Australia’s most respected technical metal export more than two decades in. \nFellow Metal Blade label mates\, Rivers of Nihil arrive riding the momentum of their 2025 self-titled release\, a record that tightened their sound without losing the scope that has defined them since Where Owls Know My Name. Now fronted by bassist Adam Biggs\, the band’s current form is more potent than it ever was. \nJoining them on all dates are Melbourne’s psychologically charged Growth who are on the eve of releasing part two of their highly anticipated album trilogy\, Under The Under\, and Sydney’s uncompromisingly brutal\, Slaughtercult\, rounding out a bill that is equal parts precision\, atmosphere and outright savage

SUMMARY:Ocean Grove 'Oddworld Underground' Tour w/ Cane Hill - Perth 18+
DESCRIPTION:Destroy All Lines Presents \nOcean Grove Oddworld Underground Tour with guests Cane Hill (USA)& Indigo Blaze \nThursday 13 August Amplifier Bar\, Perth 18+Doors 7pm \n𝐓𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬:➟ https://daltours.cc/26OGV-pert \nwww.oztix.com.au www.destroyalllines.com \n***** \nIn 2026\, the Oddworld returns to home soil\, with OCEAN GROVE today announcing their Oddworld Underground Tour this August\, joined by special guests CANE HILL (USA)\, who will return to Australia for the first time in a decade this year. \nAn eclectic trio of misfits spawning from Melbourne\, OCEAN GROVE have rapidly transcended into a global phenomenon\, helmed by inventive thinking and staggering creativity that transcends definitions and defies musical norms. Merging nu metal\, hardcore and alternative rock into their signature sound\, aka Oddworld Music\, OCEAN GROVE’s influences span Korn\, N.E.R.D\, Faith No More and beyond\, ultimately delivering an unforgettable sonic experience that is equally visceral and thought-provoking. \nFrom the 2017 release of their ground-breaking debut album The Rhapsody Tapes through to their most recent full-length\, 2024’s ODDWORLD\, OCEAN GROVE have captured critical acclaim\, chart success\, millions of streams and furthered their world domination at every turn\, with fans also relentlessly flocking to witness the group’s high energy performances in person. Most recently winning Most Performed Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Work at the 2026 APRA Music Awards for their single RAINDROP\, OCEAN GROVE also toured across the UK and Europe in 2025 supporting Thornhill\, with 2026 ticking off direct national support in January for Poppy’s Australian tour\, directly supporting Thornhill’s biggest headline Australian run to date in February\, and also touring across the UK and Europe supporting Poppy in March and April. With Blunt Magazine praising of their 2025 Melbourne headline performance “the Oddworld is more alive than ever”\, OCEAN GROVE are primed and ready to unleash the Oddworld once again in a headline setting for Australian fans this year. \nNew Orleans metalcore act CANE HILL inject towering riffs\, soaring melodies and raw heaviness into their unique and compelling sonic DNA. Drawing from metal\, alternative and grunge hues\, the group seamlessly straddle vulnerability with brutality\, lacing their sound with themes of identity\, addiction and self-destruction. With three full-length albums in their wake\, spanning 2016’s Smile\, 2018’s Too Far Gone and 2024’s A Piece of Me I Never Let You Find\, CANE HILL remain in constant pursuit of pushing themselves into darker and more experimental territory; a fact seen most vividly on full display with their gripping live performance that has seen them tour alongside The Plot In You\, Sevendust\, Killswitch Engage and many more. In 2026\, the band will also mark their first Australian tour since 2016\, supporting Bullet For My Valentine nationally almost a decade ago.

SUMMARY:The Community Chest "(it's so) Funny (now)" w/ Deep Beep\, Pastel Suburbs and Macho Men
DESCRIPTION:The Community ChestDeep BeepPastel SuburbsMacho Men \nIt’s so) Funny (now) is the first single from a forthcoming mini album by The Community Chest. Despite the upbeat title and catchy\, repetitive melody\, the song hints at loss and regret whilst trying to make light of it retrospectively. Sparce\, yet carefully layered\, “Funny” changes tone from ethereal synth pads and crystal guitar to a jolting middle section of mouth percussion and a broken Korg M700 synth from 1974 to a delicious distorted kraut rock finale – the school gates opening for summer break. \n“Some time ago I took out my old 4-track recorder that all the early Turnstyle stuff was recorded on and set it up in the loungeroom with my guitar plugged straight into it. I sat watching movies with the sound down and just came up with musical sketches and overdubbed over those. I came up with quote a few songs that way. One of them was the tune that become “Funny”. It was originally called Park Slope as a homage to David Berman but I changed it once the lyrics took shape. As usual we recorded the song in loopy layers until we arrived at the main sections. I love how it’s the same thing over and over but just framed differently.” – Adem K

DESCRIPTION:The crossroads has been lore for generations of blues musicians – that tumultuous junction between one’s soul and their artform. In the same manner\, the convergence of blues and jazz invokes a sense of danger\, thick in the night air. An all-gay tribute to rock’s most aggressively heterosexual band shouldn’t work – until you hear it\, see it\, and realize it’s exactly what the rock world needed. GAYC/DC isn’t just playing AC/DC covers with a wink; they’re delivering what Louder calls “spot on” musicianship while transforming classics like “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” into “Dirty Dudes (Done Dirt Cheap)” with such authenticity that Music Feeds declares they turn “skeptics into fans.” \nFounded by Christopher Freeman (bassist for queercore legends Pansy Division) and drummer Brian Welch\, GAYC/DC has earned something rare in tribute band territory: genuine respect from the artists they honor. When the band released their audacious “Gay Boy Boogie” video – a homoerotic reimagining of AC/DC’s “Bad Boy Boogie” shot as a loving homage to Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” – Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider himself gave his seal of approval: “I think this is great!” \nThat endorsement matters. As Welch notes\, “We love Twisted Sister who took rock and drag further than anybody at the time. This is our homage and ‘thank you’ for giving us as young gay kids the opportunity to see fully grown men in drag every day on MTV decades before RuPaul’s Drag Race was a thing.” \nWhile their glitter-drenched\, boa-adorned presentation might read as camp\, make no mistake: Broadway Rock emphasizes that “while the band and their presentation may be campy\, their musicianship is pure\, unadulterated rock.” Classic Rock Magazine captured it perfectly: “GayC/DC have taken the songs of perhaps the globe’s most heterosexual band and turned them into something altogether more fabulous.” \nThe band’s recent “Gay Boy Boogie” video – premiered by American Songwriter and featuring cameos from rock luminaries including Johnny Martin (L.A. Guns)\, John Bush (Armored Saint\, ex-Anthrax)\, and dUg Pinnick (King’s X) in their previous “Highway to Hell” video – demonstrates how seriously the rock community takes GAYC/DC’s mission. This isn’t novelty; it’s reclamation. \nFor their first Australian tour\, GAYC/DC – rounded out by bassist Glen Pavan\, guitarist Patrick Goodwin\, and lead guitarist Steve McKnight – will bring their explosive live show to six cities across the country this February. \n𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 \n• Thursday\, February 19 – Brisbane\, The Brightside•Friday\, February 20 – Gold Coast\, Mo’s Desert Clubhouse•Saturday\, February 21 – Melbourne\, Stay Gold•Wednesday\, February 25 – Adelaide\, Lion Arts Factory•Thursday\, February 26 – Perth\, Milkbar•Friday\, February 27 –Sydney\, Mary’s Underground
