About the artist:
Francesca Quinlivan (Frankie) is an emerging jazz vocalist, band leader and songwriter from Perth, now living in Melbourne. She has eagerly studied at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and The Sir Zelman Cowan School of Music. Over the years Frankie has dazzled audiences in venues across Australia working with artists such as Vince Jones, Ingrid Jensen, Russell Holmes, Kate Pass and Ben Matthews. She takes influence and inspiration from the vocal styles of Anita O’Day, Nancy Wilson, Karen Carpenter, K.D Lang and Amy Winehouse.
“Watching Frankie perform made me feel like I was observing something sincere, a star without the stardom, a diamond without the casing, a talented girl with a great love for her art. Spectators will get the feeling that we are witnessing the very beginning of greatness; the raw, unfiltered beauty that has yet to be fully recognised. That one day we will boast that we watched a young Francesca Quinlivan perform with the emotion, talent, and passion that will ultimately lead to her triumph.” ★★★★★
