One Horse Town – One Show Only!
A prominent presence in Perth’s indie scene throughout the early 2000’s, One Horse Town redefined the rock trio with Sascha Ion on vocals and baritone guitar, Ronan Charles on Rhodes piano and Stuart Leach on drums. The unusual but broad appeal of the band’s swampy, stoner-rock sound came about as a result of their signature combination of loud-soft riffs, contagious melodies and heavy bottom end without a bass or lead guitar in sight.
The band released a self-titled EP and an album, Six Feet of Snow and toured the Eastern States before disbanding in 2007.
It’s been 18 years since One Horse Town last performed and they return once more for a very special afternoon at The Bird on March 29th joined by the charismatic energy of psychedelic rockers PMX and Phantom Island sporting their brand of garage post-punk featuring members of the Painkillers and the Broken Gnomes.
