Melville Summer Music is back for its fourth annual season of free, family-friendly concerts near you! Join us beneath the trees and lush parklands of the City of Melville to enjoy lively tunes from talented local artists – all while sharing a picnic with family and friends.
Opening the Melville Summer Music season this year are the incredible Mathas and Felicity Groom.
Mathas, known for his cartoonish yet thought-provoking rap style, tackles uncomfortable truths about Australian society with humour and flair. As a ferociously talented artist, poet, producer and performer, he will illuminate the stage with his signature comedic and character-filled performance style.
Kicking things off will be Felicity Groom, delivering a rare solo performance that dives deep into the human experience, with her ethereal voice and captivating songwriting. Her emotionally charged lyrics and innovative soundscapes are sure to leave you feeling enlightened.

⬜ Arrive from 4.30pm to set up your picnic blanket. Folder chairs are welcome – please allow space for people with picnic blankets to set up in front, so everyone can see.
⬜ Delicious food and beverages available on site from Java Stix, Zab Salad and The Green Bean.
⬜ Bring your own reusable plates, cups and cutlery, as we try to reduce waste at our events.
⬜ Walk, ride, bus or ride share to the event.
⬜ Felicity Groom will take the stage at 5.00pm, followed by a short break before Mathas kicks off at 6.00pm. The event will finish at 7.00pm.
— Getting to the event —
If you can, please ride, bus (910 or 111) or ride share to the event.
ACROD parking and audience set down will be located at the front of Atwell House along with a small amount of general parking.
General parking is also available at Melville Bowling Club and Tompkins Park.
Overflow general parking will be located at the rear of Atwell House and the event, accessible through the Melville Bowling Club car park.

The event will begin in late afternoon daylight and continue into early evening, though music will finish before full sundown.
Music will be amplified.
Attendees using the front car park of the event will be required to travel a short distance, along a foot path and then on to a grassed area where the event takes place.
Attendees using the general and overflow parking will be required to travel along a bike path, approximately 100m to the event.
The park is predominantly flat with a small amount of sloping grass.
ACROD toilets will be available on site and food trucks will be located to the left of the stage, a short distance across the grass.
