Combining a mix of traditional Japanese taiko and wadaiko drumming, Yamato are bringing their show Passion to Regal Theatre on Saturday, September 14. Tickets to the all-ages show are on sale now through Ticketek, with a matinee and evening show.
Following their slogan “let’s go to wherever we are invited! Let’s give energy to the world”, Yamato spend six to 10 months of the year touring the world, with a collection of shows, workshops, and classroom visits.
Despite the iconic taiko drums being made from the wood of 400-year-old trees, and the 500kg Odaiko drum taking centre stage, Passion is more than drumming – it is a complete performance artwork.
