WAMFest Big names keep coming

Alex Paioff

The big names keep coming for WAMFest as they continue to release more info on shows including the Opening Party celebrations on Wednesday, November 1 at The Bird, a range of showcases on Friday, November 3 and just this morning, an additional 20 speakers for WAMCon on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4.

The Opening Party at the Bird will see Feels, Intenso and Tahlia Jaye, plus the Kiss My Camera Awards and Exhibition, all for just $5 entry.

The Friday night, November 3, on the eve of the festival’s flagship Saturday programming (now called WAMFest Saturday Live) is starting to drop a number of shows at venues around town, including a two venue double banger called WAMFest Scarborough taking in El Grotto and the Indi Bar and starring the likes of Old Blood, Grace Barbe, Death By Denim, Salary, Grace Sanders, Marmalade Mama, The Durongs, Elli Schoen, Valentine and Duncan Saige. One ticket ensures entry to both venues!

WAMCon has also announced another 20 music industry experts to join the speakers list. With Early Bird tickets now exhausted and plenty more speakers to come, November 3 and 4 will see the State Theatre Centre of WA transforming into the must-attend industry event of the year.

The new speakers list includes BIGSOUND’s exec programmer, the founder of China’s foremost metal label, some of the Asian market’s biggest bookers/promoters, social media gurus, radio heads set to get your tunes spread across Australia and beyond, label and syncing legends, managers extraordinaire, and more.
