WA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA The show must go on…

After having to postpone all of their public performances, the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) let it be known that during these difficult times we need music more than ever, so decided to get together virtually to give WA a Bit ‘o Bolero.

Changing their name from WASO to WASDO aka the Western Australian Social Distancing Orchestra, the group released a video on YouTube of 5o of their exceptional musicians getting together through video conferencing to play, despite being in self-isolation. The video editing was masterfully done by John Keene with the arrangement by Simon Kruit to create a truly touching, shortened version of Ravel’s Boléro.

As a not-for-profit, WASO, like many other arts organisations, is impacted by the current COVID-19 crisis. If you wish to help out, click here for more info.
