1. Local launches
Launches this week are coming from Elli Schoen, Foxton Kings, Robert Hinton and Claudia Tripp just to name a few. They come in tow with rad supports, so make sure to head out and support their craft.
2. The Ellington Burlesque and Cabaret Weekend
The jazz club is putting on a weekend of flirtation and fun from Friday, June 15 to Sunday, June 17. Acts include Tease Mania, Burlezque and Shaken (A James Bond Cabaret).
3. City Calm Down
Melbourne alternative act City Calm Down are playing Metropolis Fremantle this Saturday, June 16 as part of their Echoes in Blue album tour.
4. Carousel by WAAPA
This emotional musical has been painstakingly put together by WAAPA students and by all reports is not one to be missed. Catch it at the Regal Theatre from Friday, June 16 to Friday, June 23. Click here for a full list of performance dates and times.
5. Mental As Anything
Continuing on the ’80s band trend from last week, Mental As Anything are back once again, playing at arguably their favourite venue; Friends Restaurant on Wednesday, June 20. They’ve still got it in them, let me tell you.
