The Raid 2 Promises Stunning Amounts of Violence. Thank God For That.

therad2homeadeban2011’s The Raid, an Indonesian action flick directed by Welsh ex-pat Gareth Evans, is one of the best action movies ever made, an instant classic that makes Hollywood look even more lumbering and out of touch than usual. Bafflingly, it tanked at the Australian box office, but found a life in the home viewing market through word of mouth (the words normally being ‘You’ve gotta see this goddamn movie!). Now we’re getting a sequel that charts the further adventures of Rama (Iko Uwais), a nice, dedicated, Allah-fearing Indonesian cop who just happens to be a stone cold killing machine when circumstances call for it. The results? Well, judge for yourself:

How great is that? The Raid 2: Berandal hits Australian cinemas, repeatedly and with devastating effect, later this year.
