Mind Warp Pavilion 5 will commemorate five years since David Bowie passed with a showcase of artists paying homage to the musical icon at The Rechabite on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
The event is a chance for Bowie fans to dust off their red shoes and dance as an array of musicians take to the stage to pay homage to Bowie with their own special, and often very personal, interpretations.
“In 2021, nestled between the date of his birthday and the date of his passing, MWP5 will pay tribute again opening with a spectacular ensemble performance of Five Years (the opening track on the seminal The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars), says event organiser Leanne Casellas.
“We’ve added a bit of burlesque and songs you haven’t heard us do before. I look forward to those of you who have been MWP stalwarts from the beginning, and those of you who have yet to experience this wonderful coming together of like-minded souls gathering to celebrate the life and times of David Bowie.”
