Canadian trio The Courtneys are coming back to Australia hot on the heels of their acclaimed second album, The Courtneys II. For the first time ever, the trio will venture to WA, playing Mojos on Tuesday, August 29.
It was The Courtneys tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2015, which saw them cement their signing to Flying Nun Records and today; the ridiculously charming trio who stole hearts the first time around, are stoked to announce they’ll be returning in celebration of their sophomore LP.
Big hooks, driving guitars and finely crafted melodies blend perfectly together to create the sweet concoction that is The Courtneys sound. And these elements shine on II, which garnered international acclaim as a “supremely catchy second album,” according to Pitchfork who also lauded Minnesota with Best New Track, while in Perth it was a recent feature album on RTRFM.
