TABOO BALL Rubber Neckin’

Saturday night, June 10, will see Perth institution Metro City transformed into a playground for an exploration of the sexy, the weird and the downright beautiful, in what’s promised to be a sex-positive, decadent celebration of kink and performance art. But don’t be scared – the good folks of Club Freak are here to guide the way and guarantee a good time for all, in a safer environment than you’ll find in most local clubs on an average night. This is so much more than a kinky dance party – it’s a celebration of lifestyles, dance and performance art, the likes of which Perth has never seen.

Club Freak recently won the coveted award of being the number one attraction at Sexpo, and anyone who attended will attest to what a good time they offered at their sold out shows and workshops. They’ve proven their worth, Perth, and deserve more of your attention.

Founder of Club Freak, and owner Red Fez Studios David (Irish) Jardine explains that it’s “part Fetish Ball, part fantasy party, and part electronic music festival. We’ve combined all of these elements to create an immersive night that celebrates the diversity of human sexuality, expression and identity. You can expect the best live performances of alt-electronic music, rubber fetish performance, latex fashion parades, live shibari bondage, flesh hook pull madness, go-go dancers, aerialists and heaps more. 6 hours of non-stop madness!” Sounds like a rad time, huh?

Featuring international fetish act Rubber Doll in her Australian debut performance, including latex, lasers, LED’s and cannons, she is bringing all her best acts for our viewing pleasure. Headlining the electronic music is Amelia Arsenic, ex-frontperson from top Sydney alt-rock band AngelSpit.

Add that to resident DJs Liam and Jess Kill on the decks bringing the best in electro, synthpop, future-pop, aggrotech and industrial and they’re guaranteed to keep the dark beats pumping. Joining the Club Freak crew for the first time is Rhetoric front man DJ Amnesia who specializes in synthwave and new retro electronic music. DJ Amnesia is the man behind RTRFM’s Revolver and our readers may know him from various gigs at alt clubs of Perth for almost 20 years. He promises a set to remember.

Also featured are world-renowned Shibari performance artists Mark and Lani Deviate. This incredible duo has performed for the Tokyo Fetish Ball, among a long CV of delighting audiences with their beautiful brand of kinky art. They are in huge demand as performers and educators and their Perth debut is hotly anticipated. Peer Rope Perth are also running workshops with Mark and Lani for those wanting to learn some more advanced shibari techniques, and will be roving for your pleasure on the night.

Combine that with local legends and renowned perverts Circus Carnis, inevitably gorgeous latex showcase of designs from Suzie Homewrecker, cage dancers, aerialists and performers, and you’re in for a hell of a good time.

And never fear, the Club Freak crew have got your back at all times. If you’re uncomfortable, let them know. If you want to try something that piques your fancy, let them know. They’re at your service to ensure you’re having maximum fun with minimal fuss. It’s going to be good time, and one you don’t want to miss.

Taboo Ball happens this Saturday, June 10 at Metro City. Get your tickets at megatix.com.au.
