Perth community radio station RTRFM 92.1 kicks off their annual subscription drive Radiothon this August, running from Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 25.
Radiothon is the time of year when us listeners get the chance to put our money where our ears are by subscribing and donating to RTRFM in order to keep community radio strong and vibrant in WA. Who else supports local music on our airwaves as much as RTR?
The financial support from subscribers during Radiothon makes up 30% of the station’s annual income and it is this support that makes sure that 92.1 can continue to make the independent radio which we all know and love.
A couple of added bonuses to subscribing during Radiothon 2019 is that listeners get the chance to win great prizes such as Golden Tickets which give the winner a year of free entry to music and arts events, all the albums featured on RTRFM in the last year, luxurious holiday accommodation, fun courses, exclusive experiences, delicious food and booze prizes, and more.
The adventure begins at 6am, Friday August 16, and you can join the team at RTRFM at The Bird Mess Hall for the Radiothon Early Birds party. It’s set to be a dancing in the daylight get down with DJ Aslan, Will Bixler and Girlname plus toasted magic from Toastface Grillah.
Throughout the 10-day Radiothon extravaganza the RTRFM studios will be inundated with special guests, with appearances from much-loved former presenters and visits from local personalities, to live in-studio performances from our favourite musicians.
