POLISH CLUB Detail new album, tour and video

Sydney duo Polish Club have outlined the details for their sophomore album Iguana which arrives June 7, released the music video for their latest single from the album We Don’t Care and outlined a national tour, including stops at Mojos on Friday, June 21, Badlands on Saturday, June 22 and Prince of Wales in Bunbury on Sunday, June 23.

Iguana is named after an infamous Kings Cross bar, and is expected to showcase more of an expansive and adventurous sound, as we’ve already seen on singles Clarity and We Don’t Care. “Having been in this band for five years, I think there’s less time for us to faff about. That’s why we put heaps of pressure on evolving the sound; we haven’t got time to bang out three similar albums,” says drummer John-Henry.

“It’s the tightrope of doing what you do best and what attracted people to you in the first place, but expanding it and not rehashing old habits,” adds singer/guitarist Novak.

The music video for We Don’t Care was filmed in a karaoke bar and features a live vocal take from Novak from the karaoke session. You can watch it below.

Iguana out June 7. Polish Club hit Mojos Bar on Friday, June 21, Badlands Bar on Saturday, June 22 and Prince of Wales in Bunbury on Sunday, June 23. Tickets on sale now.
