MAGNET HOUSE Capitol becomes Maggie’s: Perth’s 21st century answer to Studio 54

Former Murray Street venue Capitol‘s doors will fling open once again as Magnet House, or simply Maggie’s, revealing a decadent new era of dance floor debauchery transforming the venue on Saturday, March 21.

Touted as Perth’s 21st century answer to Studio 54, Maggie’s promises the glittering return of the club; total escapism where time and the banalities of adulthood are well and truly left at the door.

The real feature of Maggie’s lays within the multi-million-dollar production install. The first of its kind in Australia, the multi-dimensional, kinetic lighting rig boasts 1.5 million addressable LED pixels that literally dance in front of your eyes. Think tessellating triangles that can be choreographed, the entire ceiling being transformed into a wave of light and a giant cube that forms and shatters before you. The kaleidoscopic possibilities are endless.

With three bars spread across two levels, plus two separate rooms hosting unique DJs, Maggie’s promises unending possibilities and late nights full of surreal surprises. Programming-wise you can expect to see some of the best local, national and international live music on offer, with Maggie’s house team of DJs playing until late.
