On Monday the 27th March Luna, Leederville will bring you a special encore screening of Jasper Jones featuring a Q&A with the author Craig Silvey.
Silvey will share his insights, behind the scenes stories and anecdotes about Jasper Jones. The event will be hosted by Simon Miraudo of Student Edge.
Jasper Jones is an adaptation from the best selling book by Silvey, and it boasts a stellar Australian cast including Toni Collette, Hugo Weaving, Dan Wyllie and more.
Jasper Jones tells the story of Charlie Bucktin, a 14 year old boy living in a small WA town. One night Charlie is awoken by a local mix raced boy Jasper Jones staring at him through his bedroom window. He then leads Charlie to the Forrest where they make a startling discovery which changes his life forever and sets them on a journey to solve a mystery which will consume the entire community.
Jasper Jones explores Charlie coping with family breakdown, first love and what it means to become truly courageous all while living in a small town where gossip, tragedy and and secrecy overwhelm the landscape.
