HUGH CORNWELL The hitman from The Stranglers returns


Hugh Cornwell,
singer and guitarist of The Stranglers, has announced that he’ll be touring and playing all The Stranglers’ hits, plus tunes from his solo career, including tracks off his latest album, MonsterHe will play The Rosemount Hotel on Saturday, May 11. 

Cornwell was responsible for all the big Stranglers hits including Golden Brown, No More Heroes, Strange Little Girl, Always The Sun, Nice And Sleazy, (Get A) Grip (On Yourself) and Peaches, and punters can expect to hear all these and more at the show.

Monster was the singer’s ninth solo album and was released in October 2018. The album is about famous (or infamous) people of the 20th Century, and public persona versus private. On this album, Cornwell sings about Evel Knievel, Lou Reed, Hedy Lamarr, Benito Mussolini, Phil Silvers and many more.

Monster is out now. Hugh Cornwell plays The Rosemount Hotel on Saturday, May 11. Tickets on sale now.
