HATCHED Free entry opening night at PICA


PICA 
have announced that their Hatched Graduate Show will once again be taking over their gallery from Friday, May 3 until Sunday, July 7. There will be an opening night show there on Friday, May 3 and it’s free entry with all welcome at the Perth Cultural Centre venue.

PICA invites you to see the next generation of emerging artists from across Australia. From painting, sculpture and drawing, to installation, video and sound work, Hatched National Graduate Show 2019 offers an intriguing snapshot of current contemporary art practices in Australia. 

Hatched will be opened by John Carey, MLA, Member for Perth and the prestigious $50,0000 Schenberg Art Fellowship will once again be awarded to one outstanding Hatched artist, and there will be live entertainment and food trucks.

The selected artists for 2019 are: Kim Ah Sam (QLD), Patrizia Biondi (NSW), Ómra Caoimhe (WA), Jo Chew (TAS), Anita Cummins (VIC), Stephanie De Biasi (WA), Louis Grant (ACT), Dennis Golding (NSW), John L. Hammer (QLD), Azadeh Hamzeii (QLD), Yvette James (VIC), Emilija Kasumovic (SA), Carmen-Sibha Keiso (VIC), Jonathan Kim (SA), William Kitely (WA), Anna Litwinowicz (QLD), Annette An-Jen Liu (ACT) and Kiah Pullens (VIC).

Hatched opens at PICA on Friday, May 3 and runs until Sunday, July 7.
