The Missing Picture by French-Cambodian filmmaker Rithy Panh is Cambodia’s first film to be nominated for an Oscar and recounts Panh’s personal experiences in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime in the ‘70s. He cleverly combines hundreds of clay figures to replace photos he was unable to find.
