Moana is the creative project of artist Moana Mayatrix, once described by JJJ’s Gemma Pike as one of Australia’s fiercest frontwomen, who is currently working in collaboration with musicians Lochy Hoffmann, Austin Rogers and Willow Fearns. Since the group’s inception in 2013, countless words have been written about the avant garde art rock outfit, all edging around the idea that there is something otherworldly, verging on genuinely dangerous, about this act. Combining the shamanic stream-of-consciousness poetry of peak- era Patti Smith with psychedelic melodies, heavy guitar licks, and propulsive rhythms, Moana doesn’t so much craft songs as pagan prayers set to the heartbeat of the world.

Ohm Rune have already blown away initial predictions and generated a significant buzz online reaching to all corners of Australia. Ohm Rune aren’t trying to change the world with their blend of desert / stoner / metal but that doesn’t stop them showing everyone exactly how huge a sound a 2 piece act can deliver.

Suneater are a four piece post-doom band. The band merges elements of fuzz-driven doom and sludge with psychedelic soundscapes and passages – drawing on influences such as Neurosis, Yob and Mastodon. After releasing their debut self-titled EP in November last year, Suneater have been introducing new material into their live shows with plans for a release later this year.

Raw riffs with a side of sun baked psychedelia, this 5piece play into a genre-melting vibe of heavy psych/stoner/prog/rock.
