DISTANT MURMURS

RTRFM KICKS OFF 2019 WITH DISTANT MURMURS at THE ROSEMOUNT HOTEL AND THE NORTH PERTH TOWN HALL, SATURDAY JANUARY 19th 2019.

RTRFM’s local music festival Distant Murmurs returns for it’s fifth year at The Rosemount Hotel as 14 local bands take over North Perth, Saturday January 19. The best way to kick off 2019.

In the main room of The Rosemount be blown away by the rock pop of Homebrand, the fire of Bad Friends, the wavy goodness of Segue, the punk sounds of The Shakeys, the straight grunge of The Limbs, the power of Ah Trees, the psyche vibes of Moonlighter, the in your face and not apologising Boat Show and the power pop of Wooly Mammoth.

And in the 459 bar relax to the chilled sounds of Physical Release, the jazz inspired tune of Ryan Beno, the trebbly pop of The Spring Peaks and the beautifully haunting super group that is New Nausea.

Plus; as a very special guest, catch the sounds of the wonderful and majestic Luluc.

Originally from Melbourne, now based in Brooklyn and signed to Sub Pop Records, Luluc have toured the world with The National, J Mascis, Father John Misty, Fleet Foxes, Jose Gonzalez and Lucinda Williams. Their new album Sculptor features guests Aaron Dessner (the National), guitarist J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr), drummer Jim White (Dirty Three). Catch this internationally acclaimed duo alongside some of Perth’s finest.

Distant Murmurs is the best way to spend a summer Saturday afternoon, immersed in tunes from the present and future of Perth’s musical landscape.
